Welcome to CAPS – Chuntian Academy Protective Services of Japan and Singapore. Founded in 2001 by Matt Plewes as and extension of Chuntian Academy International (www.chuntianacademy.com), a reality-based fighting arts school. CAPS (Chuntian Academy Protective Services) started out as a two-man operation providing security for Live music events and major parties, then expanded to include VIP protection, festivals, Sporting events, to tourist escorts. Nearly all of the adult Chuntian Academy school students, as part of their training, trained and worked as security as needed. Training and Security services expanded to Singapore in 2010. A franchise operated by Azmir Ally, who trained and worked as Vice President in Japan under Plewes for 10 years.
The martial arts school was successful for more than two decades and was on Japanese TV several times, and had up to 5 locations.
Japan security operations were suspended in 2023. The suspension was partially due to the death of CAPS founding partner, the covid slowdown and ultimately a family crisis that forced Plewes to leave Japan and brought Plewes back to his hometown in America. The Japan Security business is on hiatus. In America, Plewes updated his security and security management certifications and licenses and offers his nearly 30 years of experience and expertise in Security Operations and 30 plus years experience in Management and Business Administration. Plewes has a deep understanding of business operations and has the valued perspective of owning and growing a successful company from the ground up. Plewes understands the challenges and the intricacies of every job involved. Plewes is highly organized, an experienced leader and takes pride in his work, leads by example and has a professional work ethic.
